The Lasting Footprint |
The counterculture era is a period often misunderstood. While it led to lots of rebellion that seem more destructive than productive at times, it was driven by anger rather than hatred. Maynard James Keenan of Tool once stated: "They might have a similar emotional charge to them, but anger is a much more constructive emotion than hate." Those who were part of the counterculture never acted out of hate. They showed how powerful taking part in what is not mainstream is. They set a model for the youth who want to make a difference in society today.
